COURSE DESCRIPTION
FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN AGES 2-5 YEARS
Children are born extraordinarily responsive to the world’s wonders and to learning. This workshop for parents of preschoolers focuses on creating opportune moments for initiating reading. Methods that incorporate linguistic, conceptual, social, emotional, and motor competence in the act of beginning reading will be demonstrated. Active methods using movement, music, and rhythm will be an integral part of the program.
