COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
DESIGNED FOR TEENS IN GRADES 7-12
Over the past fifteen years, this popular course has helped students make substantial progress in academic accomplishments by using brain-compatible study techniques that show students how they can work smarter instead of longer. Areas of focus include motivation, memory, test taking, speed reading, and thinking strategies.
What is brain-compatible learning? It is a total immersion of mind, body, and emotion into all school subjects. This includes using the classroom space to awaken all senses as well as relaxation methods including music and lighting. Students learn social skills by working in groups that use complex hands-on teaching assignments such as how to use colors, sounds and stories to empower mastery of subjects. Self-assessment practices are ingrained in students.
Each workshop requires a minimum of 7 students and is subject to cancel if minimum is not reached. Thank you for understanding.
